Sustainability is central to everything we do. We prioritize sustainable material options and processes wherever possible. Our commitment extends to our facility, which operates with an all-electric fleet, 130 solar panels, a sustainable heating system, and comprehensive waste management practices. By sourcing materials locally whenever possible, we strive to minimize our environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.
We have 130 solar panels installed on the roof of our warehouses producing an estimated 63,217 kWh per year, reducing our grid dependency by a targeted 50%.
Operating an all-electric company car policy, supported by a robust onsite EV charging infrastructure. Charging is free and convenient for all staff, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
Using local suppliers wherever possible, not only supports local businesses but also reduces our carbon footprint. We ensure our suppliers comply with the latest sustainability standards and encourage them to take further steps to reduce their environmental impact.
Our oil-fired system has been replaced with a 150Kw wood burner, massively reducing carbon emissions. We are now only burning sustainable fuel to heat our facility.
All our old lighting has been replaced with sustainable LED lights, drastically reducing energy consumption and minimizing waste.
We prioritise waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and responsible disposal. We aim to reduce the volume of waste generated by implementing efficient waste segregation at source and always promoting the use of reusable and recyclable materials.
We have recently installed 128 solar panels to the roof of our distribution hub which produces an estimated 63,217 kWh's per year and will reduce our grid dependency by a targeted 50%.
We have a fleet of electrical vehicles with our own on site electric charging infrastructure, which provides lower running costs, better for the environment and is simpler to repair.
We use only local vendors where possible. We prioritise working with community-based services supplied by people who are proud of being at the heart of their – and our – community.
We use the Talbott’s 150Kw wood burner in our warehouse instead of the old oil-fired system, we’re now burning only sustainable fuel.
